Connecting people to people, connecting people to opportunities, and converting opportunities into projects
The Cabo Verde–Nigeria Business Council (CVNBC), is an organisation of international business leaders based in Nigeria, with representation in Cabo Verde, who have achieved success in both Nigeria and Cabo Verde. With strategic locations in Praia, Mindelo, Lagos and Abuja, the CVNBC aims to be your one-stop shop for business information, news, market research and updates on economic and business trends in Nigeria and Cabo Verde, with the ultimate goal of promoting commercial relations between the two countries.
To this end, the CVNBC collaborates with a network of Nigerian and Cape Verdean organisations, including businesses, academic institutions, and government bodies.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- Create opportunities for Nigerian companies to buy more from and sell more to Cape Verdean companies.
- Facilitate channels for Cape Verdean companies to purchase more from and sell more to Nigerian companies.
- Strengthen ties in scientific, technological and commercial fields between Nigeria and Cabo Verde.
- Promote tourism and trade between Nigeria and Cabo Verde, particularly by encouraging Cape Verdean and Nigerian exports.
- Act as a recognised representative of the Cape Verdean business sector in matters relating to trade relations with Nigeria.
We support the governments of Cabo Verde and Nigeria with policies, regulations, best practices and minimum standards, all the while maintaining an independent voice.
We keep participants informed about industry trends, share success stories, and offer support wherever possible, with input from our members. We provide a platform for members to network, collaborate and discuss models of good business practice that benefit everyone.
Additionally, we facilitate dialogue between governments and the private sector from an impartial and independent platform. We do not endorse any specific products, but we often engage with our international counterparts to obtain advice on policies and regulations based on international best practice.
